Senior Book Bin
The Muskegon Area District Library (MADL) Senior Book Bin service supports senior communities throughout MADL’s service area, delivering bins with a wide variety of titles for free. Facilities can check out bins to create a small collection for residents to read at their leisure. Bins will be exchanged monthly.
The Bins
Each bin has 15-20 books of various genres and is labeled with a number or letter. The books in each bin have a corresponding number or letter on their spines, in order to identify what books belong to each bin. If an item is lost or damaged, simply notify us via phone call or email. There are no fines for lost or damaged items, though continuous damage may result in a re-evaluation of service. Bins will also include a Book Bin checklist for facility staff to use in tracking books.
