Muskegon Area Bike Library
What is MABL?
MABL (Muskegon Area Bike Library) is a new lending program at the Muskegon Heights Branch that offers bike checkouts to MADL card holders.
How can I get a bike?
Bikes will be available to put on hold beginning June 1.
- Bring your MADL library card to the Muskegon Heights Branch. If you're under 18, make sure you come with your guardian!
- Talk to library staff at the front desk. They will help you figure out what bike size you need and put your bike on hold for you.
- You will be required to watch a brief bike safety video and sign a waiver before your bike can be placed on hold.
- In 2-3 business days, you will receive a notice that a bike is available for you at the Muskegon Heights branch.
- Swing by the library with $5 to pick up your bike, helmet, and lock.
Is there a cost?
There is a $5 cost for the bike.
How long do I get the bike?
Bikes will be available to put on hold beginning June 1, and they will not be due back until October.
Do I have to return the bike?
Yes! We want you to return the bike in October, so we can fix them up again for the next year.
Who can get a bike?
All MADL card holders can get a bike. We will have a variety of sizes for kids and adults!
What does the bike come with?
All bikes will come with a helmet and bike lock.
