Welcome to the Muskegon Area District Library Founded 1938
Downloadable Audio Books
Through a service called OverDrive you can have a virtual branch library available anywhere you have an internet connection and your MADL library card. Audio books can be downloaded to your computer or portable device. From your computer, some books can be burned to a CD. Click on the OverDrive button and see for yourself the quantity of audio titles that are available. With your library card you can check out the book for two weeks and it will expire automatically after that, no reason to return it.

New Digital Talking-Book Players for LBPH
The Muskegon Area District Library's Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is part of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. We provide audio and Braille books by mail to registered borrowers in Muskegon and Ottawa counties.
The Muskegon Area District Library’s LBPH has begun to offer new Digital Talking-Book Machines. We have sent out close to 50 digital players throughout our service area. This number will go up as more Digital Talking-Book Players become available. The new players are smaller and very easy to use with excellent sound quality. Every day new titles arrive on digital cartridges made just for our players.
