Library card

Who can get a card?

MADL library cards are free to anyone who lives within MADL’s service area. You will need to provide a driver's license or state I.D. with your current address. Children under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign for their card.

MADL’s service area includes most of Muskegon County but does not include residents of the City of Muskegon and Muskegon Public School District which is served by Hackley Public Library, residents of the City of Whitehall and the Whitehall Public School District which is served by White Lake Community Library, and residents of Fruitport Township and the Village of Fruitport which is served by Fruitport District Library.

Not sure if you are a MADL resident? Visit any branch and we can help.

What if I live outside of Muskegon County?

If you do not live in Muskegon County, you may purchase a library card at any MADL branch for $10.00 per month or $75.00 per year.
