This is a State and Federally funded service for eligible Muskegon County and Ottawa County residents to receive free reading materials. It is part of the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) www.loc.gov/nls. Muskegon is an Advisory & Outreach Center of the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons, Braille and Talking Book Library www.michigan.gov/btbl.

To begin service, please request an application form from the library or click LVPD Application for an application form in Adobe Acrobat PDF format (Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free from Adobe's web site.) You may print the form, complete it and send it to:

The Muskegon Area District Library’s LVPD provides talking books and talking book playback equipment in digital format.  The players are very easy to use with excellent sound quality.  Patrons already receiving talking books may select and order books directly online at the Michigan Network Library OPAC, www.michigan.gov/ordertalkingbooks.
