About the Muskegon Township Branch

Muskegon Township Branch – East Muskegon’s Hidden Jewel

After 69 years of bookmobile service to neighborhoods throughout Muskegon County the bookmobile was officially retired in 2009. The bookmobile’s home base was at the Muskegon Township offices. Then in July of that year, the youngest branch of the Muskegon Area District Library, (MADL) was born: the Muskegon Township Branch.

Relocated and reopened in January of 2021 to 1910 East Apple Ave, the new location offers the community high demand library services.  There are now 10 public computer stations as well as a laptop and phone charging area and privacy booths.

The Muskegon Township branch will continue to offer excellent library service from attentive staff as well as best selling books, DVDs, videogames, and more.

The Muskegon Area District Library has 10 community branches, and works closely with local municipalities to provide great programs and services. The Muskegon township branch has one of the largest populations with just over 18,000 residents.
